Well, I don't know how long this will take because there is a lot of applique to do and I want to do it the old fashioned way-needle turn. But I love Quilt Soup designs and this is going to be a fun one. I plan on hanging it in the 'new' office!

I Love Aprons!
I remember my mom wearing aprons all the time. I can even remember the pattern and color of one of them - she must have worn it alot. Aprons are so cute, so practical, so nostalgic - who wouldn't love them???
I bought these fabrics with a Christmas gift card my hubby gave me to spend at my favorite quilt shop. I can't believe I have actually held onto it for 4 weeks and just now spent it! (I didn't spend it all in one day either - I can go back!)
I Love Curtains
Here are the fabrics I bought for the new office curtains. I took one of the blues in the fabric and painted it on the upper third of the walls. The rest is white and will someday have some molding on them to give them some character. The red is tie backs - and the buttons will go on them -just for looks. The blue gingham is a border.
I hope it turns out ok. The older I get the more unsure I am of what I want things to look like. I tend to second guess myself until I'm sick about it and couldn't make a clear decision if my life depended on it. I don't know why - you'd think an old dog wouldn't worry about new tricks and just stick to what she likes!

I Hate Cords!
Now that I have painted the office and rearranged the furniture, I have a dilema in WHAT TO DO WITH THOSE DARN CORDS! What do you do with them - how do you hide them? I made a skirt for my desk and that will work if I can only figure out how to attach it to the desk! Anyway, I'll post a picture tomorrow cuz I'll have to go the the store for some velcro.
A Solution

Back to the Old
I retitled my retitled blog. Confused? I thought this is a better option since I am opening it up to anyone to read.

Dishes
Did I ever mention how much I LOVE dishes? I really don't have many dishes to actually eat on - just 1 set of white ironstone, but I have tons hanging on walls, propped up on bookcases, shelves, tables, countertops --you name it.
My stoneware only came with large soup plates and we tend to really fill 'em up when we eat ice cream; and since we are so health conscience (sadly, a lie), I got it in my head that I really needed some red bowls...with white polka dots. I actually found them quite easily on line at La Sur Table. Since they have a store in Salt Lake, I drug the hubby down tonight to buy 6 of these cuties. Worth the trip.
You ARE my sunshine!
