Happy Thanksgiving!

We kept getting blizzard warnings - but all we got was a few inches. I'm not sure what makes a blizzard a blizzard - it is pretty cold out there!
Oreo truffles - not very original - but still pretty yummy.

I wanted to share a recipe with you although you may think it's too late. I have forgotten to prepare this in advance years ago and it still tasted really good just by putting it on the day of the Big Bake. You could always use this on a Christmas turkey!
24 HOUR TURKEY RUB
1/3 C. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 Tbl. sage
1 Tbl. rosemary
2 crushed bay leaves
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. basil
1 C. oil
Combine all and rub over turkey. Follow oven bag directions and place bird in bag. Place in fridge for 12 hours, turn turkey over and marinade additonal 12 hours. Take out of fridge and smear 1 cube butter over entire bird.
Roast in bag following time/temperature directions. (don't forget to cut your slits in the bag before you bake it!)
This makes a very tasty bird!
