This is the greatest chili -Really - you should try it!
1lb Chicken breasts-cut into bite size cubes
1 med. onion, diced
3/4 t. garlic powder
1 T. veg oil
1- 14 1/2 oz. chicken broth
2- 15 1/2 oz. can northern white beans -drained and rinsed
1 - 4 oz can green chilies
1 t. salt
1 t. oregano
1/4 t. cayenne
1 t. cumin
1/2 t. pepper
1 c. sour cream (I use lite)
1/2 c. whipping cream or half/half (or milk)
instant potatoes (to thicken)
Saute chicken, onion and garlic until meat is no longer pink.
Drain and rinse beans.
Add all ings except the creams, and the potatoes
Stir all and bring to boil, reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 30 mins.
Add creams and potatoes as needed.
This recipe is easily doubled.
