NEWEST PROJECTS

Shh, this apron is Katies birthday present, (but she never reads my blog, so I'm safe). These fabrics are so cute in person, but really hard to see in this picture.

One of the cards we made last weekend.

A couple of the tags we made. Did I mention how much fun we had?

More of Our Weekend

This was taken in the little town of Midway. It was settled by the Swiss and celebrates this heritage with these cute gingerbread houses.

Ski runs in Park City

Happy Birthday!

After leaving Heber Valley, we went to Ikea and spent a couple of hours wandering, then headed to Gardners Village for the witches. Every October they celebrate Halloween
by decorating the village with witches. We picked the one weekend where not only are there mecanical witches, but people came dressed as witches too.

Bringing one in for a safe landing.

This one got too close to the building

The Homestead

Every year Kate and I celebrate her birthday by spending a weekend together shopping, sight-seeing and just hanging out. We celebrated a little early this year and think we may want to do that from now on because the weather is so much better now than in November. The Homestead Resort was having a $59.00/night special this month - so we jumped on it. This was our room.

That's a golf course just behind the chain link.

Isn't this place just amazing? And it's in one of the prettiest valleys in Utah to boot.

You know fall is here when it's this cold at 9:00 in the morning.

Not a very good picture of the main building - but the front lawn is cluttered up with monsters!
I'll post more this week of the rest of our little getaway.

Goodbye to a Good Friend

Our Daisy Cat had to be euthanised yesterday. She had lived a long, good cat life (16 years) but was having some medical problems lately that couldn't be solved. She was MY cat, even though she was adopted for Katie. She liked to curl up on the back of my chair while I watched t.v. and would literally drape herself over my shoulders and snooze. I'm sure I will miss her less as time goes on, but today I keep listening for her meow.

Better Homes and Garden Magazine

I just love this magazine and I love make-overs. I thought this couple was so clever. The small article that goes along with the pictures says that the husband told her he thought they could make a hutch out of their old builder-grade cabinets and she was skeptical, but once he was done, she made him do over her entire kitchen!
So elegant! Could you ever believe this is the same cabinet?

IT'S AUTUMN TIME!

We took our annual autumn ride in the mountains this weekend. It's become a tradition to try to find the prettiest leaves. We either came too early or too late and were disappointed.
I just thought this was a pretty church
We followed Kate and Jas up the hill so they could take some family photos for the Christmas card. I am MOST definitely NOT a photographer!

Aw, do we have to go?????

The scene just before this one was real cute.

Yeah, like I said just before this one.

She was the only one I could get any good pictures of because she wasn't running all over the place.
