The reason for the title on this post is that I have been wanting to make a wedding ring quilt for many, many years. In fact, I bought a special set of templates that is supposed to make the whole thing 'easy', and started making one about 10 years ago and gave up. (I can't find the rings I made - I must have thrown them away!) Anyhow, in a magazine article it showed a table runner using just 3 rings -- and I thought that sounded manageable--and it was!

Lucky Me!
The reason I say 'Lucky Me' is because of my job. I get to work in a wonderful Quilt Shop - Quilter's Haven in Bountiful.
These blocks are from our Block of the Month. I chose 30's fabrics because that is just 'me'! This is a most unique BOM because we make 4 blocks each month of two different patterns. The above block is called Churn Dash and by changing where the lights and darks go, you change the whole design of the block.
This one is called Brave World. 4 down and counting...

A Tinkerbell Birthday!
She wanted a Tinkerbell Cake but I'm just not up to it - so I thought instead, I would make cupcakes in a kind of "fairy" theme.

Cupcake Cuteness!
I just came across a really useful blog and wanted to share. If you like cupcakes and stuff be sure to visit this blog--http://foodartparty.blogspot.com/ Since I have a special little granddaughter's birthday coming up, I thought I would try some of these wrappers to spiff up some cupcakes for her.
Hopefully, you'll see some cuteness this weekend on my blog too.
