I made these as working 'samples' for my summer sewing classes. The shorts are part of a McCalls pattern and the tees were purchased at Walmart. I intend these to be for summer pajamas but I think they would be fine as just summer shorts sets.

COULDN'T STAND LOOKING
Because of the blow snake picture, I really couldn't stand my own blog so I took it off! I wish it was just as easy to get rid of the real things!

I'm So Excited!
I was asked to teach a demonstration class to a church group of women tomorrow night after one of the ladies in charge saw the little apron I had made for the wedding shower. My dilema was that she wanted me to hand out a pattern and I didn't feel comfortable giving someone's pattern out for free! After searching the internet with Marta I came across this pattern (which is almost identical) but is in the public domain because it was circa 1951.
My Dreaded Nightmare!
I hate this post! I found not only one of these in my front yard, but two! They are harmless blow snakes but they are so huge and they are SNAKES! I don't know if our wet spring has brought them out but 2 in one day is just too much for me. ("we" -meaning someone else) captured one of them and took it up into the mountains and released it. My daughter The Hero, allowed them to put it in a covered bucket and place it in her van to haul up the mountain.

Cute Apron and Model
I am invited to a 'grocery' bridal shower this Saturday and although that sounds very practical, I thought it sounded kind of boring. I called Marta and asked her how I could jazz up a food gift and she gave me the idea of giving a themed gift. So the bride will get a cupcake pan, 2 cake mixes, and some cute cupcake liners and sprinkles... and this apron.I love this pattern -it's fast and fun to make and wear --I'm also partial to this cute model!

Spring Is Here!
I took these pictures a few weeks ago. The seasons here are so fun to anticipate and I think spring is my favorite. You people in warm climates just can't understand our excitement when we can finally work in the dirt! (of course, for me that enthusiasm lasts until around end of June when it starts to get HOT!)
