Ok I probably will be showing how dumb I am but here goes... I just found out how to choose a different font as my default in word. (ok Kristy, stop laughing) It has always annoyed me that whenever I start a new document, I have to choose a new font, and most of the time I would prefer Times New Roman.
Anyway, you just go to the box that is located just under box that has the print options (bold, underline, etc.) the box says Font. There is a little, tiny box in the right corner with an arrow in it. You click on that, choose your font, then choose default at the bottom. Voila - you're set.
